Use that creative brain of yours! Students will dive into the world that is MinecraftEDU, an open-world game that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is your imagination. More than just playing the game, MinecraftEDU incorporates math, science, language arts, history, and visual art content.
10:00 Miniature Painting (4-6)

Students can explore their creative sides engaging in the fast growing hobby of Miniature painting, working on pieces for boardgames, tabletop games or just for fun.
11:00 All a-BOARD! (4-6)

Students will have a chance to play a variety of board games, from the classics (Monopoly, Life, checkers & chess) to new card & strategy games- student's choice!
11:00 All About Dogs (1-8)

This class is for those of you who love dogs and want to dive deeper into the canine phenomena! Students will learn about different breeds and interesting dog history. They will have their own "pet" dog to take care of by making clothes, a bed, and more. They will engage in activities like making dog treats and toys to be donated to a local shelter and engage in other dog-related crafts and activities. Therapy dogs will be visiting, as well!

Get ready for outdoor summer adventure with Bike & Hike! This class is tailor-made for bike-loving students who can breeze through an hour-long ride in a group. Grab your helmets and saddle up on a bike with gears and wheels that are at least 24 inches. Learn bike safety tips and get your bike registered with Glencoe Public Safety. But that's not all – our journey extends to exploring Glencoe's scenic trails, lagoons, and beach. Join us for a summer filled with pedal-powered excitement and fun hikes!

Become a roving reporter this summer for Explorations News! Learn the basic structure of newswriting and tackle a variety of articles including Explorations news and happenings, local news, national news, weather, sports, book/movie/gaming reviews, interviews with staff and students, puzzles, cartoons, and more. There is something for everyone in this newsworthy class!
11:00 Intro to Rocketry (5-8)

Grades: 5-8
Students will learn to build rockets from kits. They will learn about the physics of flight, and use this to increase their rocket's performance in subsequent launches. This class is for students new to building their own rockets.
