09:00 Bookies Reading Club (5-8)

Grades: 5-8
Students will read high interest novels, discussing and completing activities related to the text. Participants will keep journals and work on various activities during our time together. Students will be able to share their perspectives and responses to the books. In addition, this course will develop vocabulary, broaden imagination, improve writing skills, and increase reading stamina.

Pancakes, oatmeal, waffles, oh my! Join us as we make a different type of breakfast food each day and leave at the end of the session with a full recipe book. Students will be able to cook (and eat!) a variety of breakfast foods.

Design and shape your own racecar, paint it to your creative desire, and watch them race other cars in the class.
09:00 Craft Camp (1-4)

Grades: 1-4
Fabulous craft class where students design and construct beautiful and useful items to use throughout the year! Using their own printed paper designs, card stock, designer papers, stickers, die cuts, and other embellishments, students will create greeting and note cards, gift tags and bags, bookmarks, paper jewelry, 4th of July wreath, and more!

Let's dance! Twist, twirl, and boogie with friends. Participate in a Zumba-style class, during which students follow along to the dance from start to finish. Also, choreograph dances for friends to perform.
09:00 Fun in the Garden (1-4)

Come garden with us in the West School garden. We will be planting vegetable and flower plants and seeds. Participants will harvest vegetables to take home. We will also harvest vegetables to donate to the Northfield Food Pantry. We will make garden-themed crafts too!

The Original Kids in the Kitchen summer class for young chefs is a culinary carnival! Dive into the world of cooking, where each day brings a new recipe to make and savor. We'll spice it up with essential kitchen safety tips to ensure a sizzling yet safe experience. Plus, every chef gets a cookbook and personalized apron to take home, turning them into kitchen rockstars! Eating our creations is a vital part of the fun. While we don't use nuts in our recipes, please be aware that we can't guarantee accommodations for severe food allergies or gluten-free diets. Get ready for a summer of fun, flavors, and lots of tasty memories!
