Let's get movin' this summer! Students will engage in favorite indoor and outdoor PE games. Games will incorporate aspects of teambuilding, competition, and strategy.
9:00 Bookies Reading Club (5-8)

Grades: 5-8
Students will read high interest novels, discussing and completing activities related to the text. Participants will keep journals and work on various activities during our time together. Students will be able to share their perspectives and responses to the books. In addition, this course will develop vocabulary, broaden imagination, improve writing skills, and increase reading stamina.
9:00 Camp Lego (3-6)

Grades: 3-6
Everything is awesome at Camp Lego! This class will be a combination of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) activities, free building, and thoughtful play. Students will have a chance to work collaboratively, complete challenges, and have fun!
9:00 CO2 Racers (5-8)

Grades: 5-8
Take a block of wood, and create your very own race car. Then, with the help of a CO2 cartridge, watch it race down a track. Students will learn aspects of the design phase, as well as the physics behind CO2 racers. They will be challenged to tweak their models in order to achieve improved performance from the beginning to end of Summer Explorations
9:00 Craft Camp (1-4)

Grades: 1-4
Fabulous craft class where students design and construct beautiful and useful items to use throughout the year! Using their own printed paper designs, card stock, designer papers, stickers, die cuts, and other embellishments, students will create greeting and note cards, gift tags and bags, bookmarks, paper jewelry, 4th of July wreath, and more!
9:00 Create Your Own Comics (4-6)

Grades: 4-6
Are you inspired by a comic book to create a comic book of your own? In this class, you will develop your own characters and stories using pencils, pens, markers, paper, and iPads. You will learn the importance of detail and the techniques of line, perspective, and balance used in the graphic novel world of comic books. This will be an excellent opportunity to practice creative writing and storytelling through your character and plot development. There will be drawing games to help you improve your skills.
9:00 Fun in the Vegetable Garden (1-4)
with Summer Staff 1

Do you love to dig in the diret? Come join us in the West School Garden! We will be planting seeds, caring for the garden, and growing our own plants to take home. Participants will also bring home the fresh vegetables they harvest!
